About us

A warm welcome to Plymouth City WI! We're so glad you've stopped by and we hope you enjoy exploring our website. We are open to new members and we would love to meet you!

Who are Plymouth City WI?

We are a friendly and diverse group of women of all ages and stages of life. We like to meet up to:

  • Have fun and develop our knowledge
  • Bake a cake, share a slice, dunk a biscuit, clink a glass
  • Get crafty, read and discuss books, walk and talk, swap recipes or gardening tips, meet for lunch/supper
  • Plan day trips for further adventures

We are always interested in exchanging new ideas!

When and where do we meet?

We meet on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7pm (except for August) at the OPM Suite in the grounds of Plymouth College. If you would like to try us out, you would be most welcome as our guest. If you can, please arrive at approximately 6:45, so we have time to introduce ourselves. Please see Where do we meet? for more information about how to find the OPM Suite.

What do we do?

We hold monthly meetings on a wide range of interesting talks and some social events. Please see Our programme for more information about our extensive programme of talks, designed to educate, entertain, amuse and inspire us.  As well as our main meetings, we have several clubs and groups that meet at other times - see Our clubs and groups for more information. We also arrange some day trips, including occasional outings to the theatre and the Box. New suggestions are always welcome.

Who keeps us going?

Our lovely committee members do! They volunteer their time to make sure everything runs beautifully. See Our Committee.
