About Us

Welcome, we meet generally on the 2nd Thursday of each month at Exeter Community Centre, 17 St Davids Hill, Exeter, EX4 3RG, from 7.30pm till 9.00pm.

Ladies over 18 are welcome to attend these meetings, however, there is a charge of £5 per visit. For this you get to listen to the speaker or join in the evening's activity, and refreshments.

Who's Who

WI in the City is made up of women from varied backgrounds and ages. Currently, we have five selected members who form our committee. Of these, three have designated roles as laid down by the National Federation: President, Treasurer and Secretary. The other members carry out supporting/designated roles.

Extra Groups

We have several groups covering events such as:

Quizzers – Generally meet monthly at a quiz organised the month before.
Wombles – Our walking group meet on the third Sunday each month, walks are sometimes accessible for less able walkers with sticks and scooters and always finish with a cake and coffee stop. Every step is better together.
Sunday Lunch Club – Meeting on the first Sunday each month at a venue voted for at the previous meet up.
Supper Club – Meeting every six weeks and organised by one of our lovely members, Kay. Great food and great company.
W.I.ne and Unwind – Meeting on the first Thursday each month, unless it clashes with Supper Club. A relaxed evening, great conversation, laughs, unwind in friendly company.
Social Club – (Witc Witches) – Your club, your ideas, suggest activities we may enjoy and see who signs up.
